Basic Rules for Guild Members Empty
PostSubject: Basic Rules for Guild Members   Basic Rules for Guild Members EmptyThu May 22, 2008 4:08 pm

***First off, if you are a guild thief, guild hacker or guild hopper, don't waste your time even reading this. You will never have access to untag guild items, so you can't run off with them. Nor will you have the privs to demolish structures, kick players or withdraw gold.***

Rules:

Activity:

Active pretty much daily, unless you have enough max stamina that your stamina won’t be wasted. If you are going on vacation or can’t log in, send us a note telling why you’re away. Everyone should get vacations. It's good for the soul. Just let us know you are on one, so we don't think you quit. 3 or 4 days at Flea & Mouse Tipper is cause for kick, if not announced by you. Send a guild officer(s) a PM and we'll assign you to "Resting Under the Old Oak Tree", to remind us. When you return, you go right back to your previous rank. Again, just tell us and you're fine Smile On the other hand, if you don’t tell anyone and get kicked, you probably can’t come back to the guild. That decision will be made on a case by case basis, depending on the circumstances.

Leveling up regularly. Use the maps to maximize your stamina. If you are not leveling up, then you are not using the resources you have available here. You can not fail or even suffer at this game, with the tools we have put in place for you. Use your guild mates as resources as well. We've been there and done that.

Guild behavior:

  1. Chat language – No cursing or swearing. Pretty simple.

  2. Please and Thank You - You might be amazed at how much people will help you, when you are polite.

  3. Arguing in Chat - No arguing, flaming or defaming each other

  4. Begging - No begging for gold or FSP (This includes regular requests for "loans")

  5. Self Buffage - Always buff yourself with what ever buffs you have, BEFORE asking for buffs from guild mates. They value their stamina too. When asking for buffs, specify the buffs you want. If you ask someone for buffs, but they are currently trying to maximize there stamina usage, please do not bother them about it or continue to pester them. This would be considered begging.

  6. Buffage Requests - Do not ask for buffs unless you are at 85% max stamina, so our stamina isn’t wasted. We all value our hunting.

  7. Guild Buffage - We hope you will buff your guild mates at lower levels, when they are at an acceptable stamina level, for the good of the guild, but it is not required. If you do buff them, it MUST be for free. If you choose not to, please politely explain that you need your stamina to maximize your hunt.

  8. Guild Bank - The guild bank is to support and upgrade the guild structures. Do not ask for a loan from the bank, as you will not get it. (Please re-read "begging" rule, if unsure)

  9. Multiple Accounts - No multi-accounts. That is cheating and you will get banned by the admins.

  10. Group Usage - Do not use “Groups” to attack common creatures. This is waste of stamina for everyone in the group. Groups are to be used on Elites with useful drops and Super Elites only, unless killing a Champion is part of a quest and you can’t kill him on your own.

  11. Group Disbanding - Do not disband your group simply because the monster is gone! The groups last 24 hours and can easily be used on a different Elite. When you disband the group, you just wasted everyone in the group's stamina.

  12. Group Expiration - Please try not to let your groups expire. If it is about to expire, go find something to kill. If you haven't found an Elite to kill, then you probably should not have formed the group in the first place. Please use common sense before creating groups.

  13. Allied Guild - We have allies. They are posted here on the forum and on the guild history. Never attack an ally or take relics from an allied guild.

  14. Forum Involvement - Be sure to read the forums and check them regularly. There are many posts from guild members, both past and present, that offer a wide variety of information and assistance for you. We also have very important rules and requirements for specific activities such as GVG, Guild Competitions, and Relic Defense that have their own section in this forum. Most of the questions you could ever think to ask, have been asked by others here.

"What if I want to leave and come back?"

  1. Only One - There's only one rule for this, if you leave voluntarily, you can't come back. Period.

    This includes everyone, including officers.

It would be a VERY rare occasion indeed, that we will let anyone return, who voluntarily left. There are a few reasons that we will let a player return, if they were kicked for inactivity. Those will be looked at on a case by case basis.

We can't tell you that the grass is always greenest in THCT, but we can, and will, tell you that we don't want guild hoppers. There is too much lost CXP when you leave. Guild levels are based on CXP. You are taking your own risk by leaving.

GS:

  1. Store itemsNo junk! Simply put, only the Founders and Co-Founders will add new gear, and only after properly analyzing the stats and uses. If you wish to donate something refer to thee forums for our guild shopping list and see if the item is listed or contact a founder or co-founder. Never fill the last four slots. We use them for speedy equipment shuffling and group drops. You will be de-ranked for one week to "Stepped in Dung", if you leave any of the last four slots full, when you log out, or store junk!

  2. Take items – use what ever is available in the GS. If it’s in the GS its up for grabs, no questions asked. When recalling gear from other players, following these rules is a MUST:
    1. NEVER recall gear from a person if they are on-line without checking to make sure they aren’t getting ready to hunt or in the middle of a hunt. If they are hunting, naturally you will need to find another set or wait patiently for your turn to use it.

    2. If a player is off-line and has gear equipped that you wish to use, send them a PM saying you are taking their gear and that they are free to recall it once you have finished hunting or, better still, return it to them after you have finished using it – after all it will free up one of your BP slots.

    3. If you have an unequipped item in your inventory please note that it can be recalled at any time by anyone.

  3. No DefenseWE DO NOT PROVIDE DEFENSIVE GEAR. To those wearing Guild gear off-line: remember this is Guild gear and is for the use of all members. If you are offline and someone needs your gear to hunt, there is a VERY high probability your gear will be recalled. If the recalling of equipped gear is causing you an inconvenience please remember how much you are being saved by not having to obtain your own hunting set-ups and with that said, be willing to form item sharing agreements! They are the guild’s items, not yours. Certain sets are used by many people, and for that reason, you may find yourself recalling gear everyday before a hunt because your gear is constantly being recalled. This is normal. It is also wise to focus on increasing your backpack size as soon as possible so you can store your own defensive gear.

Use sets till they are obsolete at your level, re-equip yourself, and then give them up to someone at a lower level. We have a guide in our Guild Trade -> Request To Use Guild Items Section of the forums titled "Suggested Gear". This is even a sticky thread and will recommend what gear to use for various levels to help you determine how long a set will last. Just because you reach a new level or milestone DOES NOT mean you need new gear. More often than not, new gear will only make your leveling worse or prevent you from one hitting.

If you use gear from the GS for an extended amount of time (IE Plague, Deep, Mancrusha, Cu Sith, etc..), it would be nice if you put a forge or two on an item or crafted it better, as you are saving a ton of gold and FSP anyway, by not having to buy them yourself. Please help future Gm8z to do well too, for the good of the guild.

  4. No Stealing – Do not pull someone’s group attack drop from the GS, unless they ask you to retrieve it for them. That would be considered stealing.

  5. No Random Distribution - DO NOT randomly send guild gear to a poor unsuspecting person WITHOUT getting permission first. The only exception to this rule is if the person is Retired or In Mad Cow Disease status. If you have NO CHOICE but to send gear to someone, make sure to send them a message with a reason and a list of the gear you sent. It would also be nice if you recalled the gear after your hunt (if your not hunting, you shouldn't need your bag space).

PvP/GvG:

We, as a guild, generally prefer not to openly attack other players, unless in retaliation, but we do not restrict you from doing so. If you are attacking people, it is not the guild’s problem if you get yourself in trouble. Bounty is usually the best response to an unprovoked attack.

DO NOT attack any allied guild member. If you are unsure what guilds are allied with us, check the the forum or guild history.

Feel free to attack all the “Inactive Account” you want to.

If you get attacked by someone else, it is not the guild’s problem, but we will often help you get some payback, in extreme circumstances. To help avoid being attacked, do not carry large amounts of gold on hand. Use your bank deposits.

DO NOT attack someone who initiated a guild conflict. We have GvGers who will handle these for us. You could be kicked for jumping in a conflict and causing a GvGer a loss or tie. This is how they make their bread and butter.

Remember, if you attacked someone first, it is not our responsibility to bail you out, though your founders will always try to use political reasoning to solve a problem.

Advanced members:

Hiring Mercenaries: The gold used in hiring mercs comes directly out of the guild bank. We are a free guild, but the hiring of mercs is a withdrawal by you. Please understand that you are expected to re-deposit that gold back into the account, immediately. If you can not afford to do so, then you can not afford to hire mercs. Mercs should generally only be hired if you intend to SE hunt. They are not intended for taking relics, or killing Elites or Champions, except in the rare occasion that it is needed for a quest and there is not enough support available for a group.

Shared Hunting Gear: We have the very best gear, fully forged and ready for battle. These items are quite expensive to build or purchase, so we keep them in the GS so they are readily available for everyone to use. Please return them to the GS, when you have completed your hunt. If you forget, they will be recalled from you and you will be left standing there with nothing on, but a smile Very Happy

Crystaline Gear: We have some crystaline items tagged in the guild. They are non-repairable. You are welcome to use them, but YOU MUST USE UB190 POTION (or better) WHEN USING THESE ITEMS! UB200 (Potion of Indestructibility) will protect the crystalline pieces from damage, plus you will not have to repair your other gear while hunting.

Most importantly.... HAVE FUN! Smile ~TS~>
